Project title: Preparation and adsorption characterization of porous nanocomposite materials
In this project students will learn different methods to prepare and characterize the surface and structural properties of nanoporous materials. Materials include silicas, organically-modified silicas, and carbons that are of interest for heterogeneous catalysis, separations, drug delivery, and energy storage applications. The characterization methods will include gas sorption, thermogravimetric analysis, and electron microscopy techniques.
